I decided to something creative today to relax and feel useful. I happened to be in the dollar store and saw one of these on the toy aisle. I've seen these things a million times, but today, I wondered..."Could I make Doll Clothes with it?" ( I'd buy that for a dollar! )

I did want to also add (and if people want to add this to their signal-boost), that since Rorek is the major contributor to household grocery money, and people are not comfortable donating money, Food Lion and Wal-Mart are our grocery stores, and if they would prefer to help in the form of a gift card to either of those establishments, that would also be appreciated. (Our Wal-Mart is a Neighborhood Market, i.e. just the grocery and pharmacy. This wouldn't be going to anything other than food and OTC medicines.)

I'm sorry to be info-dumping. I've never really had to ask for help like this and I'm trying to figure out things as I go along.

Rorek is home and still recovering. He's had a very intense treatment of IV antibiotics and will be on oral antibiotics for the next week and a half. He has a follow-up appointment on the 10th, when he will be reassessed.

Rorek is in the hospital for at least overnight with bi-lateral aspiration pneumonia. They've caught it early and they're treating it with antibiotics. However, he has been chronically underemployed in the past year and currently has no insurance. While the hospital is a not-for-profit hospital with charity and discount programs, it's unclear at this point what his hospital expenses are going to be.

If anyone knows any programs that help defer the costs of emergency hospital stays, or wants to help signal boost to help him out, it would be greatly appreciated.

He's my best friend and my roommate, and has been struggling to overcome some serious obstacles in his life. If anyone could help steer him toward some help, we'd both appreciate it.
